Over the past couple of weeks, we have been brainstorming what we could create that would satisfy the needs of our community and others. To begin this brainstorming process, we decided to look into the most common and most important needs of society, both physical and emotional.
As we conferred, five physical and five emotional needs came up the most.

5 Most Common Emotional Needs1. Friendship 2. Respect 3. Confidence 4. Compassion 5. Originality/Independence | 5 Most Common Physical Needs1. Homes 2. Recreation 3. Jobs 4. Basic Needs (food, water, hygiene) 5. Transportation |
Based on these lists, we focused in closer on the places that these needs may not be met for people and what problems we could solve. We noticed that many of these needs were not met in the categories of the homeless, elderly, sick and others.
As we discussed these different topics, we all seemed to lean towards the struggles those who are homeless encounter. We all had experienced personal encounters with the homeless, whether those people be homeless because of natural disaster or financial disaster. By the end of this brainstorming process we had our topic: the homeless.
